Edward Powe Wins RIBAJ Rising Stars award 2025

We are delighted to share the exciting news that Edward has won the RIBAJ Rising Stars Award 2025, a recognition that celebrates emerging talent within the field of architecture and design.

This prestigious national award identifies individuals who are making a meaningful contribution to the profession, and Edward has been selected from a highly competitive pool of designers and architects across the UK. Being named as part of this year’s cohort is a testament not only to his creativity and design skill, but also to his forward-thinking approach to practice.

In their announcement, RIBAJ commended Edward for his commitment to championing the use of natural materials and craft, and his advocacy for more collaborative and sustainable methods of construction. These values continue to shape his work and that of the wider team here at Studio Folk.

Judges praised Powe for both his collaborative, co-creation approach and his design strengths. “It feels like he’s doing a lot of thinking and doing, combining use of natural materials, craft and collaboration,” said Oliver Bulleid.

Eleanor Young praised his dedication to giving even the tiniest project the “energy and creativity of co-creation”.
